My Avast was set to expire Jan 1st, so I renewed today, Dec 28th. This new one year subscription expires Dec 28, 2015. So I lose/give up 3 days of last year’s subscription. That kinda sucks.

Submit a ticket.
For 3 days it’s not worth the hassle of submitting a ticket. I just came here to post that it kinda sucks.
There is an on-line contact form, http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles for: Sales inquiries; This is probably less hassle than submitting a support ticket - give as much information as you can original expiry, renewal receipt info, email address, etc. They should be able to send a corrected license.
