My Avast Pro has expired and I want to renew but in order to do that I have to agree to auto renew for the future. I won’t do this. Stop insisting on it and I will renew, is there a work around
If your license is expired you can’t renew it.
You will need to get a new license.
When buying a new license you have the option to enable/disable the auto-renewal before finishing the purchase.
You can also disable/enable the auto-renewal after buying the license.
It is checked, but there is also a more information link (or wording to that effect) in the renewal/purchase process. This opens up the auto renewal and here you can switch it off.
You can also change the auto renewal payment after the purchase.

Personally I’m no fan of auto payment renewal.
Not checked by default
Must be a recent change as it was before and caused no end of complaints.
Previously there was only the More Information as I mentioned and to access the pre-checked Auto Payment renewal you had to go to a second screen.
But if they have changed it, then it is a welcome change.
