Repairing infected files safely

Hi, so i have a bunch of backup DVDs from a couple of my old computers. Some files I’d like to keep are infected with Trojans, there are a few .exe files, and a .jpg. After some googling I’ve read that one of Avast’s programs could potentially repair an infected file. If this is the case, which program would i need, and how to go about it safely?
This is also just the first dvd out of ~20dvds.

The trojans in question are "Trojan:Win32/Vigorf.A /Kepavll!rfn /Tiggre!rfn /Bumat!rts /Alureon.CT
"

Why do you think (or what software did have said) your DVDs have some trojans? These detection names seems not from Avast’s.

By word definition, trojan (“trojan horse”) is a malware itself, meaning there is no “repairing”, remove is the only option. Repair can be done only for file infectors (“virus” in traditional terms), and these types of malware are not extinct but less likely these days.

Considering how many names of malware you’re referring, I suspect it might be a false positive, or deceptive antivirus scaring you to buy something, unless you were so adventurous to have gone into dark side of the Internet.
