After Chrome setup downloaded it’s intallation files, Avast reported the message shown below and re-downloads
of the chrome installation would continually repeat. I ran the Avast scan, Malwarebytes scan, and ADWcleaner scan
but, the problem still occurs. Any help would be appreciated.
FileRepMalware is just a notice.
It means that the file is not downloaded by many avast users (yet).
As soon as more avast users have downloaded the file (or as soon as avast has put it in the whitelist), the message will not be shown again.

Are you saying that the Chrome browser that’s being downloaded is not downloaded by many avast users ? The Chrome installation download is completing just as the Avast warning window appears. Then the entire download process begins again with the warning window again displaying. This scenario continues perpetually, and the Chrome installation never starts. I cannot reproduce this problem on other Windows 7 computers.
Delete all temporary files on that system and try again.
Make sure the download comes from the official download site and that you not have been redirected to somewhere else.
Glad to see I’m not the only one having this problem with Chrome installation. I deleted temp files as Eddy suggested but still no luck. Avast and MWB scans haven’t come up with anything.
