I’ve just started having constant Wi-Fi issues today with Avast! Internet Security. The Wi-Fi connection drops as soon as I close out of the Connect To A Network view. If I don’t close out of the Connect To A Network view the connection goes to limited. Using the command ipconfig shows that I have a 168.xxx.x.x IP address which means my PC can’t connect to the DHCP server to get an IP address. I’ve tried booting into safe mode w/ networking, clean boot, etc etc etc and tried ipconfig /release. The only solution that works is uninstalling the Avast software itself. I’m very disappointed with Avast, which is an extremely good antivirus.
