…the full listing is: C:_Restore\Temp\A0198829.CPY (UPX) and when I try to send it to the chest the message is: Error occurred during moving file to Chest. I then tried to find this file in the folder but it doesn’t show, even when “Show Hidden Files” is enabled. I also tried to delete the file from the final report of the scan and it said an error occurred while deleting the file…I am running the scan again, but if it still shows up, what should I do? I am a new user of Avast and am impressed so far. NAV didn’t find any of the 3 files that Avast found.
The c:_Restore folder is a part of the system restore function and as such is protected by windows, the only way to clean infected _restore points is to disable system restore and reboot. This will clear ALL _restore points. Once you have disabled system restore, reboot, scan your PC again and if clear enable system restore.
