Reporting false detection

After the latest update Avast started falsely blocking URL that I have been using for years with no problem. I have reported a false detection website SIX times by filling out the support form… NO RESPONSE.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

You won’t get a direct response but it should be analysed within 48 hours, if found to be false it will be removed. However give you have submitted it multiple tie Avast must still consider it a valid detection.

There are other sites that can also check a site link.

Since Avast blocked the URL, I have been bypassing the block by disabling WEB Shield for couple of hours. But this not the way to operate. Seriously considering switching to another AV product…

Well disabling the web Shield is putting you at risk when not using on the effected site.

A lessor option might be to (at your own risk) add an exclusion for the website.
