Rescue Disk (I need one) not offered in TOOLS - How do I make one?

Hello,

I need to make a rescue disk.
I followed the Avast instructions and went to the TOOLS tab to click “rescue disk” but it was NOT THERE!
Only Safezone Browser, Statistics, and Sandbox show up as available tools.

I have Avast Pro 2015.
Is there a way to download it directly from Avast?

If “Rescue Disk” doesn’t show up in “Tools” menu, maybe it is not installed ?

  1. Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - Avast - Change.
  2. Change.
  3. Check/select Rescue Disk.
  4. Continue.
  5. Reboot.

I have Avast Pro 2015
You are using a old version of avast. First thing to do is installing the latest version of avast. Preferred is a clean installation.

And why do you think that you need to create a rescue disk/usb ?

I have an infected laptop and needed to make a rescue disk using an uninfected computer. That is why I need the rescue disk.
Thanks for your offers of help uninfecting it but I (probably) can do it now that I have the rescue disk!

Rednose you were absolutely correct. It was not installed. Now it is.
