Reset5 - false-positive

Hello,

I want to inform you about a mistake of avast antivirus:

After update of virus base on 20th of June two files for Windows XP activation - resetservice.exe and reset5.dll - avast detect as “win32:trojan-gen. (other)”

Please, if it is possible, can you fix it?
Because people will have real problems with their systems after deleting this files :frowning:

Thank you very much!

And if you need this files, I can send it for you.

What exactly are these files? I.e. where do they come from, where can they be downloaded?

“resetservice.exe” and “reset5.dll” are winxp activation hack tool files.generally these are illegal files installed by the user

Here are these files (uploaded by me) on sendspace.com:

These files are used by a lot of russion people for activation of Windows XP.
Yes, it isn’t legally to use it, but in any case it isn’t a trojan and people will have problems because of antivirus mistake((

Here is an installation file of Reset5, if you need:

And I want to explain a little, why I have decided to write to you.

If the antivirus software will delete “cracks” of any user program - ок, it can be normal… But if it will destroy files that activates the operational system, then it will not work anymore - I don’t think, that this will be nice to the users :frowning:

Thank you for understanding.

Want to say BIG THANK YOU for all, now this mistake is corrected
You are the best! :-*

The same story again :frowning:
Only this time avast tries to delete other file, which belongs to this application - reset5.exe (earlier it were resetservice.exe and reset5.dll), because of win32:trojan-gen, which isn’t present there.
Hope, you can fix it.

I’m afraid we’d need this file (reset5.exe) again… can you send it, please?
