[RESOLVED] Avast Detects Blizzard Updater as Trojan.Gen

so i just updated my starcraft 2, and ass it finished updating, i get a nice little virus alert from avast saying that the Blizzard Updater is detected as Trojan.Gen… ETA on this being fixed?

I’m having this problem as well. Except I can’t even run the Blizzard update for StarCraft 2 because avast! quarantines it before it even runs. I’m pretty sure nothing is latching on to the download, as it’s directly from Battle.net

Agreed with above poster. An ETA on this being resolved would be greatly appreciated. I can’t play my game until it is.

Also, system info if it helps:

Windows 7 Home Edition, 32-bit
avast! Free Antivirus → Status: Secured and up-to-date, silent gaming mode
Windows Firewall: ON

Hello,
thank you for notice, false positive will be fixed in next VPS update. Sorry for inconvenience.

Milos

thanks for the quick response  and ye, luckily i always change my avast settings that it asks me what to do, i dont get the auto quarantine problem that way, but i do need to go and exclude the file for the time being, or disable avast but its good to know it will be fixed soon

The quick response is really appreciated.

VPS 100923-1 that fixes this false positive was just released.
