Hello, i just got my computer back from being reformated and i installed avast free. and i went to click on it and i got this error message(see pic) any idea on how i can fix this? i didn’t install all the windows update to my computer yet is that the problem?
I guess i will do a repair of Avast…

You need to install MS Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable, see image.

ok i installed it. and i removed avast cause windows recommended that i do that… thanks for the link to download the MS Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable. 
I installed Avast Free Again. Now It works! 
I like the new Sound for the Virus database has been updated voice it sounds better.
