[Resolved] Graphical Artefacts - Galaxy Nexus

Whilst this probably has nothing to do with avast! Mobile Security, I’m hoping that the wealth of knowledge available in the forum may have come across this before.

I have very recently got a Galaxy Nexus, android 4.0.1 and up until this morning was fine. How I find that the X Y coordinates bar and the cross hairs (where your finger was, etc.) are displayed on top of the screen and not hidden.

When I swipe the screen left, right, up or down it leaves behind a trail (like a blue scratch) that remains present until you just tap the screen. but the top X Y coordinates bar is still over the notification area.

Has anyone experienced this before and crucially were they able to resolve it.

Update: I found the cause of the problem and it is in settings, panic over.

It is in Settings, Developer Options, Pointer location, I have no idea how that got enabled. I had been in there recently to enable USB Debugging and stay awake while charging. But that pre dates the actual appearance of the problem.

So I don’t know if this was A) over sensitive touch screen and enabled whilst scrolling or B) delayed until next restart.
