HI I was wondering if I could ask a question about program updates and avast free version. I was wondering when a program update is available and the program update function in the main window of avast free turns red and it has an update beside it I was just wondering do you actually have to push update yourself or will avast free update it self Automatically.

I did update avast program update myself for both computers

It depends if the settings are on “Notifie” or on “automatic”…i think notifie is the default setting
If sett to automatic it will do it in the next 7 days

Nothing stopping you from initiating a manual program update from the avastUI as you did, which is the best thing to do if you know one has been released (great for forum regulars); rather than wait your turn in the 7 day program update cycle.
