[RESOLVED] Looking for download link for avast! Premier 2014/ SafeZone issue

Hi all,

I’ve been looking for a download link for the installation file of avast! Premier 2014 but I haven’t had any luck. Can someone provide me with a link please? SafeZone doesn’t work for me with Premier 2015 and I’d spent too much time trying to resolve the issue already. I even reformatted my computer and installed only Premier 2015 on it without any results.

Thanks!

I would suggest that you first try the latest release of avast 2015.10.2.2214 - https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=167184.0.

Direct download link http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_premier_antivirus_setup.exe or you can try a Program Update from within the avastUI.

Thanks for the reply, I just updated to 2015.10.2.2214 via the Program Update in the avastUI and the SafeZone browser still will not load any pages.

do you use any firewall? … if so what?

I use the avast! Firewall. I tried setting the firewall’s application rules to allow all connections for SafeZone Browser but still no results.

avast and avast firewall should work from default with no problem

I tested the SafeZone browser at default settings right after reformatting, and fresh install of avast too. So having default settings do not solve the problem. I tried temporarily turning off Web Shield and Secure DNS also without avail.

may not help but you may try

contolpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall/change > repair option … wait a minute and reboot

This is an old bug.

He is using Malwarebytes Pro which has a conflict with SafeZone.
SafeZone works fine with Malwarebytes Free, but when you activate the licence it takes a few reboots and SafeZone is toast.
I tested it again with the first Beta, but forgot to email Petr Kurtin about it. I will do that tonight.

Thanks for that info, I’ll try uninstalling Mbam pro and clean installing avast later on today.

Thanks Red, it was indeed MBAM Pro that was causing this issue. I appreciate everyone’s help!

Well, at least this is one more comformation that there is a conflict between MBAM Premium and SafeZone.
I have emailed the Avast! SafeZone Developer about it earlier tonight.
