I disabled Windows Defender shortly after getting my Windows 7 machines, and I haven’t been offered the Defender definitions updates since. Have you disabled Windows Defender?

Yes, I disabled Windows Defender ages ago.

You had better go and re-disable Defender as it’s obviously been enabled again because you wouldn’t receive updates for it otherwise.

If you at some time had removed or disabled Avast then Defender will turn itself on again.

@CraigB…I do not have Windows Defender enabled.
