Restore tool

I found Task Manager disabled, so I was going to do a MS System Restore, but there were no restore points to choose from, thats odd, because Windows automatically sets them, right? Prior to all this I was warned by my security software of some malicious stuff such as " kernels88.exe " and "win32.exe " Something my have escaped detection when I was at website looking at pics and videos (xxx sites). Anyway, can I restore computer manually?

If there is free space in the disk, if you haven’t make so many changes that overflow the restore capacity (for instance, installing many programs at the same session).
