Return to ver.6

I updated to ver.7 and it slowed my system to the point it was not usable.I wish to return to ver.6 but cannot find a link.Can somebody please help

did you try a clean install ?
remove the old with this and reboot http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
install avast 7 and reboot

In filehippo, the current download for the latest avast 6 has an error. You would need to select the specific version (6.0.1367) and the download from the mirror, instead of the main download link.

Thank you all for your help.I had some problems as it wanted to update to ver.7 without installing the old version but I eventually succeeded. Some happy pappy!
