Shocked… well, I’m happy to be an ex-NAV user…
They only gave Nav a 10% on system slowdown?? : : That’s not the Nav I remember, more like 60%.
And what’s with BitDefender, Under system slowdown they say 124% ???
Hi Marc57
They tested it with Firefox on Vista Ultimate! …enough said.
But just how you can get a slowdown rating > 100% is bizarre. Does that mean you open FF and your cached last-opened pages gradually disappear?
You and me both!
Avast doesn’t draw a lot of attention to itself. Just does it thing. And while making my decision on which one to go with - I was shocked how easy it was to uninstall and install Avast multiple times. No fuss, no muss. Of course Avast has now settled in for the long haul, thank you very much.
The article says that avast “lacks U.S. phone support”. Dumb reviewer, I remember how bad Symantec support is; their solution to almost any issue is just to uninstall and reinstall. Compared to Avast, Norton doesn’t have any support at all.
Fell exactly the same. I’ve tried once to get support… what a nightmare, useless…
