@ Mr Consumer
You certainly have a right to express your thoughts.
You also need to realize that no company can ever make everyone happy.
That’s just a fact of life. Since we are all different, satisfying everyone is an impossibility.
The best anyone or any company can do is to make the majority happy.
In addition to being able to put the firewall in mode to block any new connection or ask, we can block active or inactive applications from Firewall -applications.
From configuration -firewall rules, we can from the application rules tab, we can modify the rules created automatically, to block incoming connection, outgoing etc. we can modify the basic rules and as for the network rules, we can create new ones to our liking,
I really believe that we can configure the firewall without problem and the information it offers is clear and more than enough. what more can you ask for??
I believe and without offending, because I have used most firewalls on the market, that this is the best and for 99% of users do not need to touch or modify anything in a Firewall, therefore their beliefs are not being objective
It’s true, I agree, of course. I’m just frustrated that they crippled down a perfectly fine firewall since nobody asked for it. That’s it, nothing more.
I had a typhoid fever a couple of years ago and I became so weak for 12-13 days. So I wasn’t able to feed myself. My family members had to feed me. Food was getting in my mouth alright, but I was fully depended on them.
That’s what happened to Avast Firewall. It gets the job done, but now I lack some basic controls that I had over it.
What is there to made my mind of? Avast removed some features from the firewall. If you’re blind to a fact like that, then that’s your issue.
I also said in my post to not give any excuse or justify the ridiculous decision. You ignored that, so your fault.
Looks like you are the one who made up your mind that you would defend your beloved Avast no matter what.
Yes, I made a valid point. It was to DavidR who out of nowhere came and said that I already made up my mind about it. I didn’t even quote him.
I made a post, Avast employees saw that some users are rightfully hating the change in the Firewall, and it’s upto Avast to decide whether they’ll make any change or not. That’s it. No one has to beat a dead horse.

Avast has also seen your many posts and Avast alone is the one that will decide if the suggestions warrant any changes or not.
Continuing to post the same things over and over is like watching the same video over and over
hoping for a different ending.(it isn’t going to happen)
You’ve made your point.
It may make things clean, but is a pain in the ass find stuff and change it… information is too spread out in many windows with no intuitive direction to use it…
Agreed… I’m absolutely HATING this new Firewall layout and it’s now caused me enough of a headache I’m ready to ditch avast all together. It was FINE as it was.
