Hi guys!
just want to share…& if possible want to get help about my latest avast free edition v.5.0.377 installation.
Whenever i use the explorer’s “right click scan” a folder/removeable drive option, avast’s scanning window doesn’t appears!
is avast scanning it in the background? but i checked the avast main window too nothing was going on!
plz help~
PS: is this a bug? oh…by the way my mind is clicking…that there is something wrong with my access rights to avast’s files?
Works fine here. Try re-installing avast!, especially if you were using BETA version before it.

i forgot to tell u people…that i haven’t restarted my system after i installed it.
n yes it was a fresh install on my new windows 7 ultimate 8)
one more question…
isn’t the version 5.0.377 a beta release too ?
i had to restart my system
but now one more prob have surfaced… in the task bar icon of avast its saying that your system is not fully protected!
i have checked updates to VPS + program & it is fully up to date.
all the shields/functions are activated & running then why is it reporting like that? plz help…
solved guys…
actually problems started when i choose to run Tuneup utility’s 1-click maintenance without restarting after the installation of avast.
and tuneup’s registry cleaner took away some registry keys resulting in abnormal behavior of the world’s most best AV.
