when i san any file by right click menu avast antivirus is stopped and no scan progress i must close it

this problem is only with the new version
have you tried avast repair?
controlpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall/change > repair option … wait a minute and reboot
any change?
Encountered the same problem.
Using the repair option from control panel + reboot didn’t help.
For me it seems to be doing a Full Scan instead of scanning the files selected.
This seems to be caused by 2014.9.0.2008 update. I had version 2006 till recently and it worked.
I’m using Windows 8.1 x64, if that’s important.
UPDATE: I see a few new scan tasks named ‘?? ??’ in the list together with quick scan, full scan, etc.
It looks like a custom scan task and has a delete option, but it doesn’t work, so I can’t delete them 
As far as I am aware, all of the scans in the “new” version (2014.9.0.2008) use a circular progress indicator like the one shown in the screen shot below (which is from a right click), and not the horizontal indicator shown in your screen shot.
Perhaps you could post the exact version number of the avast you have installed.
A full reinstall fixed it for me. My installation got somehow broken with the update. Not sure what happened, but the real-time protection was scanning things and reporting it works, while at the same time Windows didn’t detect avast and Windows Defender was active. Really confusing.
i founded the problem
it is because i resorted the last build settings so it looked like the screen shoot
but when i uninstall avast and reinstall without importing the settings it worked perfectly
so why this problem occured with the importing settings
I am having the problem. When start the “right click scan” avast starts to scan all available hard drives!? Under “scan” I can see all jobs I tried. Every time I start a new right click scan, it creates another fault entire. When looking at its settings, you can see, that avast will scan “all available hard drives” and the folder/file I selected. I can not even delete these “???” entries ?
