I’ve just installed the free Avast Antivirus Software and everything was successful but when I try to scan files by right-clicking them, nothing happens. Tried to reinstall it but the problem persists. Any help will b much appreciated

First to all welcome!
Save a copy of Avast for the product you need and save it to your HDD (if not already done) :http://www.avast.com/download-software – all products (Free, Pro, AIS)
Download the Avast Uninstall Utility http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclear6.exe and save it to your HDD.
Disconnect from the Internet at this time.
Go to Control Panel and uninstall Avast through Add/Remove Programs if possible and reboot.
If Step 4 fails, boot into Safe Mode Uninstall ALL previous versions (4.0, 6.0) and products of Avast you had on this machine one at a time and reboot in between each uninstall.
Reboot .Install the newest version of Avast and reboot .
Get Internet access and register your copy or add the license key for Free, Pro, or AIS.
Update the Avast definitions.

Antivirus (AV) - besides Avast
Firewall (FW)
Trial versions of AV, FW and other security programsOther security software
If they were in the past, how did you remove them (the vendor’s uninstaller’s tool or another way)?

Thx for invitation. I’ve just discovered that it’s the only user account I’m using that’s giving me this problem. All other accounts are working normally
