Do you have Windows XP Home or Professional?
Is your system file NTFS or FAT32?
Are you logged as the Administrator of the computer?
Sorry :-[
It is windows xp pro fr and I can be logged on as an admin if necessary.

Windows Explorer
Tools
Folder Options
2nd tab (Show or View tab)
At the bottom, almost the last option, is ‘Use Simple Sharing (recommended)’. Uncheck it.
Close this window.
Boot (?)
Go to the folder you want to change the Security settings… right click it and you’ll see the option for Sharing and Security…
Thanks alot
Just should I do this under an admin account or not ??
Thanks again

If you don’t then it will only be applicable to the account you use and in a limited user account you might not have enough rights.
Admin accoun 8)
The ‘folder and sharing’ option will be available for all users in that computer. But common users can’t ‘change’ the settings, only view them 8)
ok
Thanks
