Hi guys
Thanks for ur suggestions and advices so far, they have so helpful for me!

I am still overwhelmed with those so called “trojan-horses”! Everytime i run the thorough scanner, it detects one or more of them! I keep them locked in the “chest”. In the biginning, i was deleting the infected files from the chest after turning off my system restore.
But i can’t keep doing this as i am not sure…and there is no way to be sure…that those infected files were repaired/healed or not!!! mmhh…VRDB? not sure what it does & when it does its tasks…!i think that’s a waste of space, useless!
So can anyone shed a light on this please!

Read the help file, it is explained there.

ok, i read the read the help but still there is no way to know wether the infected files are repaired or not…
Anyway, is it recommended then to keep deleting the infected files from the chest…and leaving the job to VRDB afterwards?? I think my concerns are legitimate.
Thanks.

I suggest you calm down and take things a step at a time, the anger in your post serves no purpose, it doesn’t give us any information to be able to help.

i think that's a waste of space, useless!
How you can make that statement when by your own admission you don't know anything about it?

You don’t need to keep turning off system restore, when you delete a file from the chest, system restore generally only protects system files and those placed in system folders (often by malware trying to fool you and have windows protect them).

Anyway, is it recommended then to keep deleting the infected files from the chest...and leaving the job to VRDB afterwards??
I'm have no idea what leaving the job to VRDB afterwards is. Once in the chest VRDB is only of use if it can repair the file and that option would have been given when the infection was first detected.

Trojans generally can’t be repaired (either by the VRDB or avast virus cleaner), because the entire content of the file is malware, so it is either move to chest or delete, move to the chest being the best option (first do no harm).

The VRDB only protects certain files, .exe, dll and other system files, it doesn’t protect data files or all files, it is not a back-up program, so there are going to be many occasions where repair won’t be an option.
