These are both demand scanners (free); resident pay-for versions available.
And judging from quite a lot of reports around the web, very effective.
Analogous to the (once-was) venerable AdAware , but streets ahead in performance.
MBAM is the full scanner, RR is for a much smaller selection of malware, with (consequently) a very rapid scan.
