Rooting an Android phone

Just installed Avast on my HTC One and to use the Firewall and to prevent the Anti-Theft module being deleted during a hard reset it states that the handset needs to be rooted.

I have not done this yet as i am not sure whether it’s a good idea. I have just got the handset and rooting it for one will void my warranty.

I have read some pro’s and con’s of rooting from the following article.

What do you think?

I definitely wouldn’t root a new phone, like you said yourself you will loose your warranty and then you’ll be “rooted”

lol. Yeah i think i will leave the rooting well and truly alone.

A wise choice
