The scan turned out fine but it happened before…so after I restart today I will scan again…
hey you said the scary things came from a flash drive? I have like…err…9!? USB stick/external hard drives/memory cards that I use with this computer…
how it is possible for me to scan them without infecting this computer itself?! (as in won’t it cause trouble once I plug it in before I can do anything with it?)
what i CAN do is go to computers with anti-virus softwares and check there before putting them in this one again…but that might sound stupid haha…
anyway here’s the mbam log. Once again thank you so so much!!!
you can also try this very effective versus rootkits, BitDefender Online Scanner is an on-demand antivirus and antispyware tool that shows how safe your PC is. Accessible from your browser, it will scan and automatically clean the system memory, all files and drives’ boot sectors.
Thanks everyone for the flash drive vaccines and all So if I run that programme and plug in an infected drive it won’t harm the computer and I can clean it out like that? Like I won’t have to first clean them before plugging them in again??..haha hopefully this doesn’t sound more stupid than I’m already…
essexboy>> I don’t think there were any problems? haha dunno when the rootkit thing was there nth seems abnormal neither…so I wouldn’t be able to tell…
I scanned with mbam again its clean!!!
Thanks doctor haha.
Hey umm…before I do that…I think i did find a problem afterall…
whenever I turn on bluetooth, the whole system freezes and nothing moves, task manager can come up after a long time but turns itself into “not responding” mode as well…
then eventually the computer starts ending the system processes one by one…ending up with the computer restarting itself…
That happens when I turn the bluetooth ON from OFF
the funny thing is after it restarts, no matter if the system starts with the bluetooth on, or I log on and turn the bluetooth on from off, it works totally fine like normal (only after a reboot)
anything I should do about this before cleaning up in OTS???
thank you!!!
Do you still have the drivers for bluetooth ? As a re-install may cure that. I do not use it myself, or you may have a programme that is leaking memory
As a way of checking, stop all non-ms processes before changing the status, if that works then re-enable one process try agian. Then run through them all until you find the one that is causing the hanging
errrr the bluetooth thing was pretty much here since I started using it…same button for wireless internet and everything else of that sort…
So…the hanging was caused by MS processes? I see the “END NOW” type “error(?)” popping up after a long while since it started to freeze…and don’t even recognize some of those processes (As in not that i rmb any of those names being in the processes tabs in task manager…)
Have you tried leaving it permanently in the on position ? As I used to have problems on my XP system when I plugged in the wireless USB after starting
Maybe I should do that…or turn it on before I switch off if I need to use it next time I will use the computer or sth…
I usu turn it off because it keeps searching around for wireless internets (which at times I might need that) but normally when I’m just at my desk i use LAN.
Never used to have this problem though…dunno if it was sth to do with the rootkit or it has started before that…:-/
