Avast has started reporting a rootkit in the Bonjour Service (installed as part of the Xamarin developer tools about two months ago).
I have used the Delete option but the next time I power up Avast comes up with the same report again.
I also did a full boot-time scan and this has not stopped the rootkit report from coming up.
The Avast report just pops up shortly after powering on. The Bonjour service is currently disabled and should not be running automatically.
If this really is the rootkit being named here, should Avast be able to delete it correctly?
