First off, thank you for taking the time to read my post.
I just had this pop up on my pc today and I clicked on delete and did a boot scan as recommended by avast. But after rebooting I still had the same message pop up again. What’s weird is that when I opened my laptop I also had the same warning and did the whole delete/boot scan process on my laptop (both are connected to a network). So it’s either a nasty one or a false positive?
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
PS, Also scanned with malwarebytes, found a few suspicious files and deleted them but still the rootkit warning pops up.
I have got exacly the same like you. I make scan before system runn I make fast scann I try to delete it via avast but always coming back after system runn. I make malware anti-malware scan and nothing I downloaded Panca active scan and nothing. I make scan this LMS.exe via http://virusscan.jotti.org/pl and nothing has been found. For me it looks like false alert. Anyone have got this problem too?
I bought a laptop that came with Windows 7 home premium 32 bit, after 1 year i had this error, i deleted that win32 rootkit file, it restarted, finished scanning, and when it booted on again, it said " Window is not genuine." What do i do? pls help
If you have encountered the situation of my assumption, you will not need a key-code. If you do need, the code should be on the sticker back of your laptop. We do not condone piracy and future help will be declined if pirated products are detected.
The laptop originaly has free DOS, but i bought it whit an installed windows. Maybe the clerck sold me a fake copy of windows and this scan picked it up?
I called the dude who sold the laptop to me, and he emailed me the product key, but when i try to register it it says that tgere was an error while valitading the code.
