hey
So after scanning my computer with Avast it said that there were 4 rootkits found. Then when I tried to delete them, Avast said access denied. Is there anyway to get rid of them? I also scanned my computer with malwarbytes and it came up with no viruses or rootkits. Here is a screenshot of what Avast found:
what type of scan did you do ?
i suspect a FP
are you able to browse to the qdvd.dll file ?..if so upload it to www.virustotal.com and test with 40+ malware scanners (if scanned before click rescan)
when you have the result, copy the scan link and post it here for us to see

follow the guide here and attach the logsā¦not copy and paste http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
AdwCleaner
Malwarebytes
OTL
aswMBR
then one of the removal experts will have a look when they arrive
here is the otl log
aswMBR log:
They are in the windows side by side folder, it sems as though Avast has problems with this on 64bit systems. They are false positives and the logs look clean
Are you able to upload from the chest to the virus labs ?
nothing shows up in my virus chest.
heres the mbytes log
To me it looks clean, are you experiencing any problems ?
not really, only the rootkits that were found after scanning with Avast but i guess they were false positives.
thanks for checking everything out
Not a problem, once you are happy run OTL and press the cleanup button to remove it
