Rootkit in Facebook?

My wife opened Facebook to login and got a message from Avast! that there was a hidden object (rootkit). I’ve attached a screen capture of the dialogue box. This is the second time and the first time I ran a boot time scan which came up with nothing. Has anyone else had this? Should I instruct Avast to ignore this in the future?

I ran facebook on my side (user area) and received no warnings.

Thnx all,
Roy

i use google chrome and im not having any trouble connecting to facebook.

could you have been conneted to a fake facebook page?

See this http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=89963.75

False positive.

Yes, it’s a false positive and you didn’t get this from Facebook.
SFloppy.sys is a legal Microsoft Windows system file.

It isn’t actually a detection on facebook, you just happened to have that open when the avast anti-rootkit scan ran (8minutes after boot).

As mentioned in other topics, ensure you have the latest VPS update 111206-2 and reboot 8 minutes after the boot the rootkit happens and you shouldn’t get an alert.

See image extract of the end of the aswAR.log file run after a reboot on my system with that VPS.
