When I start the computer I get an alert regarding MBR:\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0 and a recommendation to run a boot time scan. When I run the boot time scan it doesn’t find anything and I have to tell Avast to Ignore the item. Next time I start the computer the alert returns.
Download and run aswMBR from here http://public.avast.com/~gmerek/aswMBR.htm

@com155 why are you posting ia a topic where last response where in may 31 ?
His major was “virus busting”, but he took side courses, Necromancy 101.
yea…i see he have posted in a whole bunch of old topics today…where the OP does not respond anymore and some are even solved
Not to mention he is just copying Essexboy’s posts. Probably doesn’t know anything about malware removal.
Not to mention just firing off tools like a one trick pony and no analysis, this is a waste of time; why download and run two tools when the first returns a log and might well deal with the problem. without need for the second tool.
This wastes the OPs time not to mention makes the topics really long with images for tools which may not be required.
A real pain in the rear.
