I have attached my logs.
Will someone please help me fix these issues?
Thank you in advance.
removal team is notified, it may take some time before they are online
Thank you so much!
What file is being reported as a root kit ?
I’m not sure what you mean. I’m new to all of this. :-[
Initially Avast found 65 threats. I have attached that screen print.
I have also attached a print screen of what Malwarebytes says is still an issue.
Ah I see it … did you run a scan during or just after a windows update ? As the winsxs files are all false positives, a fresh scan will not detect them at all
No recent update.
I noticed the computer moving a bit slow so I ran a scan.
Are the RealPlayer and OpenCandy threats that I can eliminate and avoid going forward?
Thank you again.
Windows was probably updating in the background hence the slowness.
Opencandy is considered a potentially unwanted programme and as such you might want to ensure it is all gone
Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
The first file is what popped up after I restarted the pc. The next two saved on their own; none of the files were named “C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt”.
Looks nice and clean … Any problems ?
Not that I’ve noticed. What do you suggest I do about the RealPlayer?
Thank you for all of the help.
Personally I would never use it, however, it is your choice
Subject to no further problems
I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems
Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean
A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

I ran DelFix twice and received the attached error message twice.
But the txt that popped up said that my new restore point was created. Should I continue with the other steps?
Uninstall ERUNT from control panel
I’ve searched and cannot locate ERUNT.
Ah OK I have checked and delfix uses ERUNT so you can ignore that
Wonderful. You have been a great help.
My pleasure
