Rootkit SVC: swcustcfg > ???

Hi. I am hoping someone out there can help rid me of my computer problem. Everytime I turn on my computer it is very slow to open windows until an Avast box opens and tell me that I have “Rootkit SVC: swcustcfg > ???” on my computer. When prompted to remove I click ok. Another avast box appears and prompts me to restart the computer and run scan. I did this but every time I start the computer the same thing happens, so I only click the first box and the computer seems to work fine after this until I turn on the computer again.

I am at my wits end. I previously had a key logger virus on my computer and reinstalled the OS but this problem started happening so soon after reinstillation that I think it is probabley related. Can anyone help me to get rid of this thing. I have downloaded and run MBAM, OTL, aswMBR.exe as per the instuctions on the post “Logs to assist in cleaning malware” and have attached to this post.

Hi that appears to be your ZeroCD Sierra Wireless, and the alert is on the null values… Have you tried to disable it recently ?

HI again
No I havn’t done anything with Sierra Wireless, which I presume is associatied with my mobile wireless usb device. Occassionally when I start the computer the box for the connection informs me that the devise cannot be found. Sometimes I simply have to reinsert into the usb port but occassionaly have to restart the computer.

Might be worth reloading the drivers for it, but it is not a rootkit ;D

I found the ‘Sierra Wireless Inc’ file in Progam Files. Inside I opened the ‘Tru-install’ file and inside the Drivers fileI found ‘DrvInst.exe.’ but was unable to open it. Don’t know if this is the correct file. I ran the 'Driver installer" in my ‘Mobile Broadband Manager’. didn’t seem to have make any difference either way.

Next time Avast reports this select ignore

Any other problems ?
