Upon system startup, when Fujitsu Siemens Computer logo displays, press and hold F8. A menu screen will appear. Choose "Repair your system", the log in with your name and password that you would normally use when you log on. Then another menu shall appear, choose the Fujitsu Siemens recovery option.
Hello essexboy, the “Fujitsu Siemens Computer Recovery” has only one option i.e. Restore factory default settings. I have no data on the PC so nothing will be lost by doing this. Should I give it a go?
That will give you a nice clean system - If it was me I would do it… But first save a copy of Avast (or your choice of AV) to a USB drive, then you can install it before you need to go online
Looking good so far! No more blue screen and system seems stable. Are ther any other checks I need to do to confirm PC is clean?
