GMer
Worried about rootkits? GMer is a scanner that can find many of the most stubborn rootkits.
This freeware tool from Poland has been described as a combination of Sysinternals’s RootkitRevealer and Process Explorer.
The program can list running processes (procesy in Polish), modules (moduly), and Windows services (uslugi),
in addition to scanning for the presence of rootkits (click the Rootkit tab and then click the button labeled Szukaj to start the scan).
With a little Polish lesson, we can all learn to use this Rootkit Revealer.
Hello bob3160,
Downloaded this scanner, and it is revealing a lot. First you got a complete list of all the processes that your machine has with objects and identifiable (list them for reference), there is the inbuilt possibility to use av scanning and a lot of features.
It can start up every boot run, and protect your machine against rootkits. I haven’t giving it the full ring, but one thing is clear it is designed with the “Queen’s English” in mind, so you can safely download and test it as well, bob3160. And by the way the download was pre-scanned with DrWeb’s av link scanner abd found to be totally clean,
GMer, not bad, not bad at all and as we say “sprytny”, meaning clever.

I had already installed and used it before I posted the info here.
( Didn't want to pass any garbage along. :) )
Hi bob3160,
I will give it a try, I saved the lists it gave in a document, the start up list of it is important. Think it is a nice program to add to my security.
