Router detection and scan missed [SOLVED UNDER INSTRUCTIONS IN THESE POSTS].

I had mt router changed today because of a failure.
Mt internet provider send me a technisian and installed me a new one.
Scanning with “Security of Home net” Avast still detects my old router and warns me that it is vanuareble to “attacks”.
How do I get Avast to “recognise” the new router?

Try repair and reboot > https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB204#artTitle

any change?

Yes not it detected it but it says that its vanuearabe to attacks and i must upgrade its firmware. :frowning:

well, is there a new firmware? if so, upgrade

I can not find one in the router’s page (at least i do not know where to look). Thanks any way

Maybe somone here can find it

What router do you have? name / number
What firmware?

I loged in to my brownser provider page.
I searched the router but according to each “account’s” line you have to choose the proper .bin forware version. I phoned the suport like and the lady shown me what version to choose.
Downloaded, selected upgrade via the router’s page.
Re-boot my PC.
Start Avast home line security (before i followed your instructions and Avast DID locate the router).
After the upgrade Avast gave me “green light”.
A million thanks my friend.
