Router Kills connection

Just installed Avast! home edition 4.6 yesterday. Everything worked fine until I restarted. After restart I was unable to connect to the 'net. If I disconect my wireless router (Netgear 802.11g) and connect directly to the modem everything works fine, but as soon as the router is connected it kills my connection.

Athlon 2800
XP sp2
no other anti-virus running as I uninstalled the memory/process hog Norton.

Did you try just disabling WebShield provider to see what you get? ??? ::slight_smile:

I’ve tried disabling both the web shield and the network shield and still can’t connecton desktop when the router is connected. Wireless connection works fine off of the router but just not the desktop.

I end up getting a host error for SBC DSL.
