I’m trying to set up a bootable Linux USB with Avast so I can scan Windows PC drives that might get infected. I initially thought this was possible but am beginning to think it can only be done from a bootable Avast drive.
Thanks,
Dave
Not the conventional avast as it needs to be installed, it runs from the windows registry, etc. I guess it would be the same for the avast Linux version too it has to be installed.
Thanks for the reply.
I’m not looking for a portable Avast. I have a bootable USB drive running Ubuntu. It has about a gig of persistent space available for installing app’s.

You can install avast for Linux and run from the bootable USB drive. No problems.
