Hello Community!
I’ve had some issues with some malware lately. I don’t really know how it started, but i do suspect some bad addons for Chrome, as i am very careful downloading programs on to my computer.
However, this led into some sudden problems one day i restarted my computer. All links on Chrome redirected me to AD pages at the first click, and there were appearing many other random links, in the middle of a clean text (f.ex. Wikipedia) redirecting me to the other malware pages.
I started searching this up, and Avast was blocking web-pages every 10th second. And all actions started/were attempted form origin: rundll32.exe
So, I managed to get rid of the virus by deleting some “bad” copies on my system, because they weren’t using the same locale as me (Norwegian), and the ones i deleted had US, English. So, that one is gone, however, I need to be sure it all is gone, which i am not.
How can i check all system files? If rundll32.exe fooled avast and me, I need to be sure there is no remains on my computer.
And i do still get warnings from avast that there are webpages randomly blocked, even when i do not have the Web-browser opened. I ran several boot-time scans and full system scans, even used Malwarebytes Pro to search.
Any ideas?
