running a boot scan on Windows 2000 with Home Ed

I scheduled a boot time scan in Windows 2000 with the Avast! 4 Home Edition on my dad’s computer.

When the computer restarts it continues to boot up normally. And I know on my computer (Win XP) Avast runs the boot scan before the Windows splash screen. However, for the Win 2k it boots up normally all the way to the splash screen and then freezes.

What am I doing wrong?

Please send me the file aswBoot.log, you find it in folder Avast4\DATA\log or in the root folder on disk C:.

How does it freeze, you have to restart ?
