Running a boot scan

I am running a boot scan and wondering should I move all infected files to the CHEST? There were some Windows files that were infected and it is asking me if “I’m sure that I want to move it to the chest?” What else would I do? I deleted the first infected file but when I thought about it maybe I shouldn’t delete anyhing and just move it to the chest. Please advise.

This is avast being careful, unfortunately not al files in the windows and system folders are legit files. This is frequently where malware inserts its files as it scares users into believing they are important system files.

Deletion isn’t really a good first option (you have none left), ‘first do no harm’ don’t delete, send virus to the chest and investigate.

What is the infected file name, where was it found e.g. (C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ?
Check the file created after the boot-time scan using notepad (copy and paste the infected files into your next post), C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\report\aswBoot.txt.
