Running an update tasks kills the console

I created an update task, with * for all computers. When run the console closes suddenly

Even with the latest asaAdmin.exe? This should’ve been fixed in that version…

Thanks
Vlk

yes, that persist… when i relaunch the console i see the task running anyways… it just closes the console but the task is ok

What if you click the session? Does it close?

it does close if you open the tree and click on a computer which hasn’t the client installed, fine otherwise on a pc with the task running

i tryed to create an update task for a single pc with the client installed and it does the same… closing… the same when reopening and clicking on the computer inside the session

The latest build at http://cat.asw.cz/~vlk/asaAdmin.exe should work… hopefully… ::slight_smile:

BTW your DB is now a bit damaged – that’s because of the cleanup task. There was a bug in the cleanup task that crippled your DB a bit :-\ The solution would be to delete the computers in the computer catalog and recreate them… :-[ I apologize for this inconvenience.

Also, before an update of the server is out, I recommend against running a DB Maintanence task with ‘Clean Orphaned Records’ setting on – it can really ruine your DB… :frowning:

Thanks

Hi raicio, any news?

Thanks
Vlk

well… it says “unknown error” cannot start task ( with wildcard * or any computer name)
