I have been using Avast free for months now, have never had the Web Shield…there’s no option for it, even in settings. I’d hoped updating to 8 would help but it’s still not there. Until today, I’ve had McAfee as well, but it’s been such a pain I uninstalled it. How in the heck do I get the Web Shield?? ???

Hmmm… Are you talking about Web Shield or Web Rep?
Web Shield…all I seem to have are Mail and Script Shields. Now that I have McAfee removed, I REALLY need to get this darned Web shield up, but there is no visible option for it. I’m sure it’s not because I’m using the free version because my son has it on his pc and has the full array.
