Sorry don’t write perfectly english…
However I have a problem with virus Rvzr-a.akamaihd.net which open pop up at anytime.
Can you help me to destroy it because avast program cannot detect it.
Thank in advance for your help and process!.
it is not a virus, but a Browser Hijacker .... classed as PUP
PUP = not virus / Possible Unwanted Program
follow the guide Asyn gave you and attach the logs…
Malwarebytes should clear this but there may be leftover files that need removal. the removal expert will see this from the OTL / aswMBR logs
I have my “own” akamaihd infection on two PCs in my network. So, I attach the logs, except for aswMBR.ex due it crashes after a few minuts scanning (anyway, I attach the screen image).
Please, help me first with this one because in spite you said “it’s not a virus”, after the infection I can’t start normally such PC due some errors (attached too)
Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on the Scan button.
[*]After the scan has finished click on the Clean button.
Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the onscreen prompts.
Press OK again to allow AdwCleaner to restart the computer and complete the removal process.
[*]After rebooting, a logfile report (AdwCleaner[S0].txt) will open automatically.
[*]Post logfile will also be saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder.
Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
[*]Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Under Optional Scan ensure “List BCD” and “Driver MD5” are ticked.
[*]Press Scan button.
[*]It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
[*]The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
Please download GMER, AntiRootkit tool from the link below and save it to your Desktop:
[*]Wait for initial scan to finish - if there is any query, click No;
[*]Click Scan button and wait until the full scan is complete;
[*]Click Save … - save the report to the Desktop (named Gmer );
As I told you, the programs are not running properly (perhaps due we can’t start W7 normally, but just in “safe mode with network”). I attach the execution results for FRST64.exe and the aswMBR.exe as well. I’ve tested even only marking the addition.txt checkbox, without success.
