s3setvga.exe a false positive? (v5)

I installed v5.0.377 a couple of days ago then ran a quick scan. It flagged s3setvga.exe (48 KB) as a Win32:Sality-FY virus, location c:\program files\s3\P4M266\s3setvga.exe. However that file has been on my computer for almost 2 years and the prior avast version 4.8 never flagged it. So I believe it may be a normal file in my S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR display adapter system. How can I find out for sure?

is the detection reproducible with latest VPS? Sality-FY was a false positive…

I just tried scanning again with program version 5.0.377, virus definitions version 10121-0, and it does not flag my s3setvga.exe file as a virus anymore. I don’t know if this is a later version of the virus definitions database, or not. In any case the problem has apparently resolved itself. Thanks.
