Safe Zone important security FLAW

Hi Guys…I was just paying my State Taxes on my Avast SafeZone pay mode. Then I realized I had another update that was available for my Avast Internet Security so I updated the program. Afterward I Googled Avast SafeZone browser and found a February 2016 article at PCWORLD.com saying that there was a major security FLAW in the SafeZone Browser per Google Project Zero tech Tavis Ormandy. He said there was a major mistake made in Avastium that could allow hackers access to your computer via the Avast browser. Please read this article… http://www.pcworld.com/article/3030319/security/researcher-finds-serious-flaw-in-chromium-based-avast-safezone-browser.html

With the new latest update…has this issue been addressed??? I’m very concerned!!!

Old news and yes it is fixed already.
Long before the latest version even.

Thanks Eddy…good to hear. With the Avast Safe Browser…do I need the Secure Line VPN also or am I good just with the browser???

The SafeZone Browser and Secure Line are two entirely different things.

If I put it really simple :
The SafeZone browser is just that.
It is just a browser, nothing more nothing less.
The “safe part” is basically only the pay mode that checks things the basic browser doesn’t.
But it only does so when you visit “banking/payment” sites.

Secure Line encrypts (or at least is supposed to do so) all network traffic.
