I cannot seem to get Safe Zone via my Avast Internet Security 7 to work on my Windows 7-64 bit laptop. Every time I click it, all it does is load for like 15 seconds and give me this error message: Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): The server could not be found. I have tried resetting content of my safe zone but to no avail. I’ve also tried going into different links but I still can’t connect to it.
I though it might just be a server issue, but I’m not so sure now cause it’s been 48 hours since I’ve experienced it and it’s working perfectly fine on my other laptop (Vista, 32-bit), where I also have Avast 7 Internet Security installed.
click the start button and go to the command prompt: Start → All Programs → Accessories- > Command Prompt
right click on the command prompt and choose, “run as administrator”
type in the command “ipconfig /flushdns”
hit enter
Please try this. If this doesn’t work, switch it back to the original setting.
Go to the browser wrench → options → under the hood.
Then uncheck “use dns prefetching to improve page load performance.”
Then restart safezone.
Go under firewall application rules and delete the safezone browser rule located under the avast software tab. Restart safezone.
Has SafeZone ever worked correctly on this particular computer? Did you perform a clean install of v7 or did you update through the GUI?
How long have you had avast installed on your computer? Have you used any other security software besides avast?
Can you browse the internet with Internet Explorer, FireFox, and/or Chrome?
Just reset it and still no connection, I still get: Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): The server could not be found. :-. Is yours working just fine?
