safe zone won't stay installed

I have a new laptop (windows 10), so downloaded and installed Avast premier with a new subscription.
Safezone is not installed, so I go to the settings and components and install it. The shortcut appears on my desktop and I can use it. Whenever the computer is restarted, safezone has disappeared again and I have to install it again, then import my book marks which is very annoying. Windows updates seems to restart my computer frequently which is fine, or would be if safezone didn’t uninstall itself.

Is there anything I can do to keep it installed?

The Avast version I have is showing as 17.2.2288

Did you install it as admin…? If not, do so.

I have no idea, I just went to the Avast website and downloaded it.
Forgive my ignorance, but I am not a computer expert, just a bumbling old lady, so installing as an admin means nothing to me

Hi Asyn, you do not need to do any specific steps to install Avast. If avast is installed, the SZB should be installed too.

write me what you have (or better attach screenshot) in the folder: c:\Program Files\AVAST Software\SZBrowser\
please go here: c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Persistent Data\Avast\Logs\ and pack all the files and send me it to private message

I’m a computer nerd who would be running Linux if Avast would release a version for it. I’ve done a fair amount of software testing.

This is (as far as I can tell) an error with your components. Whenever I try to (re)install a component, Browser cleanup, SaveZone, Security Browser Extension, or SafePrice, the others are uninstalled immediatly. With your last update the icon on my taskbar and desktop shortcut turned into a blank page. Their respective folder “C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\SZBrowser” no longer exists. I have been able to re-install it(following a restart) and lost the other components, but the bookmarks and previous pages stored in SZ were lost.
