SAFEZONE BROWSER AND OUTPOSTFREESUITE FW

Hi, I just switched to AvastPro, jumping into the summer sale wagon, and find myself not being able to use the safezonebrowser feature with my agnitium free suite FW (with AV Real-time protection disabled). It works when it is in training mode but as soon as I disable it, I can’t connect with network it said: in safe zone, no internet. Then Sandboxie is giving me error messages but that I can manage by ignoring them. I have Sandboxie 3.56. I tried adding safezonebrowser.exe in allow all as a rule in the FW settings but it doesn’t work. Has somebody an idea?
???

Safezone and outpost fw get a mention here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=81980.msg670643#msg670643

This isn’t about the safezone browser, but the avast aswSnx.sys (process virtualisation) and outpost sandbox.sys (outpost host protection) conflict causing a BSOD on win7 with avast 6.0.1203 and outpost firewall pro 7.5.1. BSOD on boot before logon.

So I think it is unrelated.

Too bad for Agnitium. Too complicated. I’m back with ZoneAlarm Free without the toolbars. Now everything is fine with Avast.
Problem solved

Half-solved in fact, it still conflicts with sandboxie 3.56, error message 1215 ???

I am using OP Pro 7.5.1 with Avast IS(no firewall) and I do not have any issues…I see that DavidR is using OP too. Has this been reported to Agnitum lately?

No I haven’t but I was using the free suite without the malware component and it was giving me an error message upon booting that a driver installation failed, so I guess while it is advisable to install Outopost Pro FW only it is not a good idea to think to install the suite and Avast 6 altogether. Exclusions don’t seem to work (bugs…!) :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know about the free suite settings but I set Avast process in OP as “Allow Everything”. Might be a good reason to post it at the Outpost forums so guys there like Manny can assist you.

I can’t have that problem as I don’t have the avast Pro version with the SafeZone Browser.

can someone open a thread in the outpost forum discussion (free security suite) and post this link: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=82257.0
They’ll understand. I am not allowed to post as it needs a couple of days for new users.
Thanks

Yikes:) Sorry about that DavidR, I thought I saw Avast IS
